The hotel is a good starting point for excursions e.g. to Skagen and visit "Grenen", the northernmost point of Denmark – only 50 km from Frederikshavn.
On the way to Skagen you can admire Denmark's largest shifting dune "Råbjerg Mile" and also visit the "silted up church".
The heathland in Jutland is also worth a visit – with completely untouched nature.
